This is one of those amazing stories that warms your heart.
From Utah - Bridget is a 10 -year-old Yorkshire terrier that was
surrendered to the Humane Society of Utah last week. She was pregnant, and just days later gave birth to 2 pups, but they did not survive.
Later that day kittens arrived at the shelter.
The next morning when doctors came to check on both of
their new patients, those patients had found each other.
All five kittens, nestled under Bridget's caring fur and
watchful eye ... she had become a mother after all.
"I haven't seen anything like that before, it was really
just quite exciting, really quite touching," Van Zandt
said.
And so, since Monday, this 10-year-old dog has been doing
all of the usual 'new mom' activities for this litter of
five kittens. She's been cleaning, chasing and even
feeding her adoptive babies.

Yorkie Mom Dies After Giving Birth....

Jackie bottle feeds the tiny three-week-old Yorkshire Terrier pups six times a day, acting as their surrogate mother, after seven-year-old Amber died. She said: "When Amber died it was such a shock – even when I picked her up I didn't think she was dead because she was still hot and her eyes were open."
But when you are left with five little faces looking up at you, you just have to take over."I was feeding them through a syringe but I got a bottle from the vet with a teet on it and we feed them with that now."It's quite humorous to see them because as they get bigger, they want more.
"They feed six times a day, I am up through the night feeding them and if I go out it's not for more than an hour-and-a-half."Jacie said she will probably keep one of the pups – which have been named Lucky, Fudge, Madonna, Robert the Bruce and Lulu – and give the others away once they are six- or seven-weeks-old.
Lucky was given her name because she was the first puppy to be born and was cold and lifeless, but she and her husband Bill managed to revive her.

Inspiring New Book about Dog Love - Coming Soon!
And I couldn't go.
So I had to stay with some strangers. They are friends
of my dads, Jeff and Andrea Maziarek are big dog lovers!
So I took a liking to them right away and they liked me too.
(How could they resist, right??)
Jeff let me sit on his lap while he worked,
and at night, I curled into a ball between them on their pillows,
but especially love sleeping half on Andrea's
head. I missed my dads bunches but my babysitters
gave me so much love, play and attention, it was OK being away from them.
They had lost BOTH of their dogs in the recent past,
due to health problems. And when I sniffed around their house
I could really sense them.
Jeff has been busy writing a book. (his second)
About his dog CODI. An Inspiring and heartwarming
story about an Amazing Best Friend.
It's about their awesome dog with a great personality
who really had a profound impact on this family.
The story presents Codi as much more than merely
a source of entertainment and affection, but as an actual
sentient being that has far deeper insight into
the lives of "her humans" than commonly thought.
He is in the process of publishing his book,
it's not out yet. But he has set up website with some
samplings of his story called Codi's Journey!
Stop by and get a preview!
Jeff also runs another site called
it features inspirational writings from authors
around the world. You can even subscribe to get free
daily inspirational messages emailed to you!

This is me, on their couch!
Thanks Jeff and Andrea for taking care of me!
I hope I can come back again, soon!
Love, Trixie.

Do Pets Go To Heaven?
that made me hold my little Yorkie in my arms and cry...
As many of you are well aware Molly has been struggling with cancer for the last 3 years. This past Friday she took a turn for the worst and now has no use of her hind legs. We took her to our regular vet who referred us to a veterinarian specializing in Neurology. The Neurologist determined a cyst on the spinal column is the reason Molly has no use/feeling of her hind quarters. Given Molly’s age the Vet recommended a noninvasive treatment of oral Prednisone hoping this may reduce inflammation and give her even some temporary use of her hind legs. Unfortunately this hasn’t helped at all.
Kelly and I have made a very difficult decision this morning. Kelly will be bringing Molly home from the hospital tomorrow so she may have one last Christmas with us. We will make Molly as comfortable as possible the next few days (AKA even more spoiling, if possible). On Friday we will say good-bye to our dear friend.
Honestly, the only reason I share this with you is because so many of you have been wonderful with asking about Molly this past year. We knew the inevitable would come. It just doesn’t seem we are ever truly ready to say good-bye to such
a loyal companion as a best friend.
I truly wish each and every one of you a Happy Holiday!
WOW - what a tough decision.
I started doing some research on pets and death,
and found this great book I wanted to share with you.
It covers things like
How to conduct a funeral for your pets-
How To Live With Your Pet FOREVER-
How to comfort children and console friends
over the loss of their pets-
How to make the hard decision and avoid guilt
when having to put an animal to "sleep".

Real Miniature Yorkies
Oh My Goodness!
I thought I WAS TINY.
I am a 4 pounder, but these gems are super tiny!
GOOD THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES!
FYI-If you considering a small dog,
KEEP IN MIND THAT YORKIES REQUIRE A LOT OF LOVE,
ATTENTION AND TIME. TINIES REQUIRE SPECIAL ATTENTION,
DUE TO THEIR SIZE. THEY ARE ADORABLE, BUT FOR THEIR SAKE,
MAKE SURE THEY WILL FIT INTO YOUR HOME AND LIFESTYLE.
