years older than the current canine world record holder.
The pensioner pooch has had half his teeth out and can barely see or hear.
But owner Doug Percival, 73, has only had to take him to the vets
ONCE since he got him as a two-year-old pup.
He puts his longevity down to them looking after each other and
twice-weekly treats from the fish and chip shop.
READ ABOUT THIS CUTE YORKIE
I stumbled across your blog while searching the term "worlds oldest yorkshire terrier" and I'm in heaven! I can't wait to get reading and catch up on your previous posts :) I have a yorkie named Sir Samuel and he's 15 years, 6 months and 9 days old. He has owned me since he was 4 months old and I can't imagine life without him...Your post on 23 year old Sammy made my day and has left me hopeful that Sir Samuel and I may have a little more time to spend together than I thought :)
ReplyDeletei agree!! i have 2 female yorkies that ive had since 3mths old & i cant imagine life without them, I just lost my poodle of 12 yrs that i grew up with that was hard but always remember how good of dog he was. this also made my day because they are still 5yrs old both so i have plenty of yrs i hope!!! <3
ReplyDeleteI also have a sweet female yorkie that is 18 yrs 6 months old as of this blog. Her name is Zsa-Zsa. She has a hard time seeing and hearing-but it still very active for her age. Unfortunately, she was attacked by a neighborhood dog and had multiple puncture wounds and a broken tail bone. She has begun the recovery process and amazingly is doing very well.
ReplyDeleteShe has only been sick twice in her life and now the recent event makes three times. They are wonderful pets! Knoxville, TN
He looks just like one of our little ones who has now passed but her beau is still kicking at 18 years old we wondered if he was a miracle and he still is just not the oldest miracle. thank you for your blog
